Member Committees

Sunset Point is comprised of 48 townhouse units – and a community room – owned co-operatively by all members. And just like any homeowner, as members we need to pay our mortgage and our taxes and be sure our roof doesn’t leak and our toilets flush properly. We take pride in keeping our home in good repair inside and out. We enjoy security and privacy but also be part of an intentional community built by teamwork and planning.

Sunset Point Housing Co-op is pleased to have committed, involved members like you! 

But the question is — how does it all get done? The simple answer is — we do it! All of us together – you and all your Co-op neighbours. Whether cleaning a gutter or preparing a budget, Co-op members are responsible for managing and taking care of the Co-op. And like any home-owners there are some things that it makes sense to do ourselves and other things we hire other people or companies to do.

And for those things we can do ourselves, Co-op members participate in hands-on work with the committees: Maintenance, Finance, Membership, Landscape, Rules + Education, Social and Website.
